PureAire vs. MSA
The following information demonstrates the cost of ownership comparison; for a MSA monitor with a disposable electrochemical sensor, and a PureAire monitor with a renewable sensor cell.
MSA has a 2 year sensor life for oxygen and toxics. MSA has a 3 year sensor life for combustibles.1 MSA has a 1 year full replacement warranty for sensor cells.1 The PureAire sensor cell lasts the life of the monitor; 5 years or more, with a 2 year warranty.
PureAire offers a unique, proprietary renewable sensor cell, which has a completely different technology than a MSA disposable electrochemical sensor cell.
MSA limits their cells to 15 to 95% RH, non-condensing environments.2 Many of PureAire sensor cells can operate in 100% RH condensing environments with virtually zero drift.
PureAire has been supplying monitors with both long life oxygen sensors and renewable cells. One of the oldest ammonia renewable sensor cells has been in continuous operation at a US company since 1992.
